Learn who goes first at intersections, roundabouts and crosswalks — a favorite trap on the Florida Class E exam.
Right-of-way questions test judgment, not memorization, which is why they trip up so many people. The rules are about yielding safely, never about "taking" the right-of-way. This set drills four-way stops, uncontrolled intersections, roundabouts, left turns and pedestrians.
Sample question: Two cars arrive at a four-way stop at the same time, side by side. Who has the right-of-way? A) The car on the left B) The car on the right C) The faster car D) Whoever honks first. Correct answer: B — The car on the right goes first when two vehicles arrive together.
Sample question: You are turning left at an intersection with a green light (not a green arrow). You must: A) Turn immediately, you have the light B) Yield to oncoming traffic and pedestrians, then turn when clear C) Stop completely before every left turn D) Wait for a police officer. Correct answer: B — A green light lets you turn left only after yielding to oncoming traffic and pedestrians.
Sample question: A pedestrian is in a marked crosswalk ahead of you. You should: A) Sound your horn so they hurry B) Stop and let them finish crossing C) Drive around behind them D) Proceed, cars have the right-of-way. Correct answer: B — You must yield and stop for pedestrians in a crosswalk.
